Grand Rapids Football Club

The Grand Rapids Football Club is ready for a summer of soccer. Next month, Grand Rapids FC is back with a new league and a new look. The Boys in Blue will take the field for their USL2 season opener on Sunday, May 16 at 7:00 pm. GRFC will play their home games at Midwest Soccer Complex located at 3450 36th St. SE, Kentwood. The venue, which provides a safe and open family-friendly atmosphere, will serve as the perfect location to begin a championship run.

“We have worked hard all offseason to be able to provide fans an opportunity to watch high-level soccer,” said GRFC General Manager Joe Broekhuizen. “We are confident that with the talent we have on our roster, and of course, the fans, together we can create an electric atmosphere these next few months.” He added, “We are thrilled to be contributing to the future of soccer here in Grand Rapids. The soccer roots run extremely deep in this city from playing to refereeing to the coaching of all ages. To be able to provide this community the opportunity to watch the beautiful game after a year it was sorely missed is special.”

The Boys in Blue will play 7 home matches and 7 away matches before playoffs, including several early-season scrimmages against local clubs. We will keep in accordance with 2021 USL protocols to effectively and safely navigate this season together. As always, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you all again.
